Véronic DiCaire Open
Background
The Véronic DiCaire Open is an event hosted by an internationally renowned local artist, particularly popular in France, Belgium and Switzerland, and currently headlining her own show in Las Vegas. Véronic DiCaire is managed by the Groupe Feeling Inc., chaired by René Angélil, and is mentored by Céline Dion.
For a full day, golfers at the Véronic DiCaire Open have the opportunity to meet this exceptional artist and share her national and international successes. Participants at the Véronic DiCaire Open are treated as VIPs during this special day. The Véronic DiCaire Open provides a full day of golf, gifts, cocktails and a gourmet dinner, a photo album, as well as an evening featuring Véronic and her unique impersonations and songs.
The Véronic DiCaire Open is now a popular event in town, a “must”. Because of the privileged nature of the Véronic DiCaire Open, participation is by invitation only. All three opens were fully booked on March 1st, four months before the event.
The first three meets were under the guidance of Rachel Gauthier, who as president was supported by a volunteer cast of forty.
The first open was held at the Club de golf Outaouais, in Rockland, Ontario, and was followed by an evening at the Hilton Lac-Leamy hotel, in Gatineau, Quebec, besides the casino of the same name.
The 2012 Véronic DiCaire Open as well as the one in 2013 took place at the Le Mirage golf club in Terrebonne, Quebec. This private club, co-owned by Céline Dion and René Angélil, is a prestigious establishment with two 18-hole five-star courses and is considered among the most beautiful golf courses in Canada.
