An outstanding growth<\/h3>\n

When the V\u00e9ronic DiCaire Foundation was officially launched on June 8, 2012, it needed a\u00a0starting contribution and it was $15,000.<\/p>\n

Three years later, the total funds collected have reached $300,000. The success of special\u00a0projects, such as the V\u00e9ronic DiCaire Open, the Ottawa-Las Vegas chartered flight, fund-raising\u00a0events by V\u00e9ronic, as well as numerous donations from friends, fans and sponsors, is\u00a0indisputable.<\/p>\n

\"graphique_en\"<\/a><\/p>\n

As a reference, the four V\u00e9ronic DiCaire Open were instrumental in providing $213,000 to the\u00a0Fondation du coll\u00e8ge La\u00a0Cit\u00e9 and $135,000\u00a0$ to the V\u00e9ronic DiCaire Foundation.<\/p>\n

The Open is the foremost source of funds for the Foundation, but V\u00e9ronic\u2019s talents also\u00a0contribute to special events. For example, the benefit-gala dinner in Geneva, in October 2013,\u00a0added $70,000 to the Foundation\u2019s funds. Other events will be organized and we will keep you\u00a0informed.<\/p>\n

The Foundation\u2019s finances were professionally managed and monitored by Serge Lavall\u00e9e, the\u00a0V\u00e9ronic DiCaire Foundation administrator, and Pierre Bourdon, from the accounting and\u00a0auditing firm BDO, that provides pro bono services to the Foundation. Serge Lavall\u00e9e had this to\u00a0say: \u201cThe last three years can be summarized in a few words \u2018Rh\u00e9al Leroux is a visionary when it\u00a0comes to creating events, bringing the funds to $300,000. V\u00e9ronic\u2019s big dreams to invest in the\u00a0\u2018Francophonie\u2019 are now possible. These achievements would have been impossible without\u00a0community support.\u201d\u00a0The VDF offers its thanks to Serge who is leaving his position as\u00a0administrator of the Foundation.
